Every Ganni dance now!

Every outfit is made for dancing: With their spring/summer 2022 collection, the Scandinavian brand  GANNI presented a real fashion festival by embracing plenty style genres, louder and more subtle looks, catchy variations and classy tones. There’s a perfect track(-suit) for every mood – yet, the overall vibe is a very positive, celebrational one that echoes in playful details like ruffled rims and also in make-up.
The trademark Scandi look was pumped up by dashes of glitter, composed by make-up artist Trine Skjøth and remixed by each model herself. We talked to Trine about her special make-up playlist.

How do you translate the Ganni style into make-up?

At GANNI, it is all about enhancing your best features in an effortless way.  The look should never be too complicated / exaggerated, but instead radiate playfullness and inspire us to have a good time.

What’s role of make-up at a fashion presentation?

The makeup role is to support and embrace the collection. This year at Ganni we had a lot of colors, pattern and a joyful  90s feel to it. I wanted a detail, something that wasn’t too make-up-y, so glitter was an obvious choice. Its flattering , playful and looks great on everybody.

What been your inspiration for the SS22 show?

My inspiration for the SS22 show was optimism, feeling strong and beautiful and having fun! The skin got glow with a bit of cream blush, a red, brownish khol eyeliner  was smudged around the eyes and topped with brown-black mascara for a softer natural  look. The lips got a bit of gloss. For the playful  makeup detail  this season, we decided  to use glitter . We had four different colors of glitter by Submission. Before the show and applying the magic dust, I  had a small talk with each model about how they would apply the sparkle themselves, which color they like and together we created an individual look on them. It was super fun and the result was so cool!
