Dries' new notes

Drama has many nuances – and Dries Van Noten is painting them all with a collection full of flair and love to every detail. lnspired by Italian icons of the sixties, like the whimsical glam of 6os star singer Mina, exotic interior at Casa Mollino  and cinematic sexiness of Marcello Mastroianni, Dries Van Noten created fashion that feels theatrical and real at the same time.
He is combing – not clashing – ultra feminine accents like plisé, lush velvet and porcelain printed leather, flower-details and handmade butterfly collars with bleached denim and constructed silhouettes that form exceptional curves around arms and shoulders but stay slim around the waist.
Nostalgie, but new-fashioned – the poetic drama continues with the make-up created by Lucy Bridge and doll-esque lashes and cellophane black liner, lips as dark red as movie theater seats or creamy beige pouts.

But there was another star of the show: Dries‘ new beauty collection. Make-up, accessories and perfume embody the label’s spirit with poetic contrasts, refined materials, textures and a filmic color palette. The lipstick range has 4 refillable cases 15 satin, 10 matte, 5 sheer shades and a transparent balm, the perfume line features 10 eclectic, refillable and sustainably design EdPs. This launch is among the most anticipated beauty news this year, opening up a new aesthetic chapter and adding a bit of drama to the beauty biz in the best sense…

The beauty collection will be available at Andreas Murkudis in Berlin from April 22nd.
