Rick Owens
The Californian born designer and his tribe, led by his muse and wife Michele Lamy, know for sure how to do a show. But besides a certain preference for provocation and theatrical catwalk effects, Rick Owens remains a true iconoclast and a real tailor master. Sadly, his sartorial skills are often underrated and shadowed by a gothic aura. With a collection about «the glory of lust and vice» and a rock metal cover of Abba’s Gimme Gimme Gimme» as the soundtrack, the designer went far beyond the clichés. His vampires went glam, wearing ultra short shearling jackets, skinny pants and platform boots. But after midnight, gray, oxtail or ochre colored coats with expansive patch pockets felt very welcome among the 70s zombies.
