Milan Fashion Week F/W 19/20:

PRADA

We all had a class mate who was considered the ugly duckling. Fiercely independent and rebel at heart. In her fabulous FW2019/2020 runway show, Miuccia Prada pays a tribute to all the Wednesday Addams of the past and present times. Not only to our favorite goth teenager (thanks Guido Palau for the jet black braids), but also to all the young women who are/think/dress different from the usual (and boring) princess. Black is the dominant color of the collection, as the ultimate symbol of independence, as claimed by most of the Japanese designers since the 80s. But the mash up is still very rich here: nylon survival gear, techno combat boots, 50s couture lace and stylized 2D and 3D flowers are making this story complex and incredibly appealing. The soundtrack by Frederic Sanchez was fabulous enough to be mentioned too.
