Less embellished than previous collections, but still poetic and magical through semi-transparent organza, satin and patent layers and her iconic voluminous silhouette, Simone Rocha build a bridge between whimsical flair and warrior attitude, linked the heavy with the light. Her inspiration: The fairytale Children of Lir, where a girl and her brother are transformed into swans by a wicked stepmother and banished to live on a lake for 900 years.
With less application on the clothing, there was room to shine with make-up. Make-up artists Thomas de Kluyver created a similar balanced drama: Heavy rhinestones around the eye and princess-perfect skin completed Rocha’s created character in a modern, almost natural way.
