A soundscape worth meditating to – direct your brain to the sheltered confines of your bed. Feet poking out of the sheets, the first stretch, accompanied by the velcro-like sounds of a radio and matched by the morning sun’s rays as they caress your skin. Carhartt WIP puts all its cards on an all round sensuous experience with its latest SS23 campaign. Lensed by London-based photographer Finnegan Travers, the campaign trails the lives of three individuals wandering from the subdued underwater chimes to the euphonic distortion of the city’s hustle.
Traver’s multi-sensory escapade lures to linger – unlike its recent collab with MARNI, Carhartt WIP’s latest collection spans, rinsed and dusty shades of an else wise blue and neutral palette. Their trademark Michigan coat and Arbor vest, paired with wide fits is a reference to the brand’s sturdy DNA. And while we can still rely on familiar silhouettes, it is the stories of real people and their levity that come as foremost to Carhartt’s storytelling. Head to Carhartt WIP to see for yourself.
