Diesel hat sich mit Gosha Rubchinskiy  zusammen getan. Stilistisch ein Top-Team, dennoch eine sportliche Entscheidung: Der aus Moskau stammende Designer ist eben nicht nur für seine Kunstprojekte und raue Fashion bekannt. Auch seine spezielle Casting-Vorlieben machten die Runde.

Dennoch: Sein ästhetischer Einfluss auf die Mode schlägt seit Gründung des eigenen Labels 2008 ein. Sport- und Uniform-Elemente, post-sowejtische Symbole, Oversize, 90-Jahre-Elemente prägte seine Kollektion – und später die vieler weiterer Label.

Für Diesel verfeinerte er seinen Stil, weniger grob, mehr Denim, mehr Uniform aber auch Fingerspitzengefühl. (Casting inklusive).

Wir sprachen mit Gosha in Berlin zur Präsentation der limitieren Diesel Red Tag x GR-Uniforma Kollektion, die ab sofort in ausgewählten Stores und via Diesel erhältlich ist.

How much fun is there in fashion?
It’s fun if you do things your own way. Fashion allows you to be free to mix whatever you want, from art, photography or video and music.

If you could design a uniform for the whole world, all gender, all sizes – how would it look like?
I want to design something which can put people in a good mood. It’s the best uniform.

What do you think about the phrase: Dress for success? What does it mean nowadays? What means power dressing?
For me it’s a question of what is power? If I see power in your eyes it doesn’t matter how you dress.

What is your definition and your ambition in art?
To find yourself and be true.
