Troy Surrat is a makeup-icon, co-creator of the cosmetic brand Tarte, once assistant to Kevin Aucoin and founder of his own make-up label SURRAT. High in quality – from the interior to the exterior -, not only inspired by but also produced in Japan, with a keen eye to detail only someone as passionate as him can have, he has created one of the most sophisticated make-up labels around. No wonder it’s loved by many pro’s too, even though selectively sold, there’s hardly a make-up-artist who did not splurge on at least an eyebrow pen of his collection.
We met the very charming artist in New York City for an exclusive interview about his vision and inspiration.
